Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ's
What is the difference between microblading and machine hair strokes?
Microblading is done with a hand held pen that has a tiny row of needles at the end that is used to make scratches into the skin that mimic hair, pigment is rubbed into the scratched and once healed you are left with a soft natural hair eyebrow effect lasting around 12 months. Microblading is not recommended for oily, oily combination skin or darker skin tones. Machine hair strokes is a newer technique using a permanent makeup machine and a single nano needle creating the hair like effect without causing cuts or scratches in the skin, resulting in the same effect as microblading but it lasts longer than microblading and can lasts 3 to 5 years. Machine hair stroke are also better for oily or combination skin types or for darker skin tones because machine hair strokes will heal better with these skin types.
Is permanent makeup painful?
Unlike a regular tattoo, Permanent makeup is not going as deep, and with permanent makeup comfort of the client is always a priority. The numbing creams used are very effective and they are reapplied throughout the session keeping the client only feeling minimal discomfort. Many clients fall asleep during the session and some say it tickles which is due to the permanent makeup machine's vibrations.
How long does the session take?
Depending on what service you are getting and depending on how thick or how thin you want your brows or eyeliner it can take 1-3 hours but keep in mind before the procedure starts there will be a pre-drawing of the area and that can take some time with the measuring and adjustments made back and forth until the perfect shape is found so 4 hours is recommended to be expected but this is worst case scenario. It may not take nearly that long but we do not want to have to rush anything so its a good idea to have that much time set aside with no interruptions.
